Four engineers were travelling together in a car. There was an electrical engineer, a chemical engineer, a mechancical engineer and a computer engineer. After only a short distance, the car broke down.
"I think there's a problem with the electrics," said the electrical engineer.
"No, I think it's not getting enough fuel," said the chemical engineer.
"No, it's definitely a broken cam belt," said the mechancial engineer.
Turning to the computer engineer, they all asked him, "what do you think?"
The computer engineer replied, "I think we should all get out and get back in again."
Bwaaahahaha - when in doubt, reboot!
I am about to get personal - something I maybe don't do often enough, but here goes!
If you know Ali (my girlfriend) and I well enough, you will know that we share a common admiration for owls. Yes, those nocturnal feathered creatures that we never really see in day to day city life! For proof of this "owl love", just look at how stoked I am in here...
The above photo was taken at Fairview wine estate, thanks to Eagle Encounters.
So, moving alone. On the 23rd of June, I turned 25 years old and my girlfriend blew my mind with the most thoughtful, probably very time consuming and creative gift I have ever received! She rocked up at my house after work and tells me to close my eyes. I know she has a natural flare when it comes to baking awesome tasty treats, but this I never expected in a million years. She made me an incredible owl cake! Not just any owl cake, a real work of art! She seriously got creative when choosing the food items to create a completely edible owl.
Rad, seriously rad... and it tastes even better than it looks! To top off the whole thing off, she brought along a sparkler - awesome!
It does not stop there friends! Next item on the list apart from a sick hoodie, some biltong and a much needed coffee flask, is a custom made t-shirt. Ali and I have many debates over social media and its role in our lives. She works in traditional advertising and I work in online advertising so heated discussion is often a trending topic among our one on one conversations. None the less, she had a custom printed t-shirt made especially for me! Twitter related...
"stop following me" - She picked the working herself and had a colleague of hers manufacture it... I love it - I love her!
These gifts were just too awesome for me to attach a mere 140 characters to each, so I decided to document them here. I want to remember them forever and hope you can appreciate me giving gratitude to Ali for them here. Such an incredible birthday and apart from these amazing gifts, I really thank Ali and everyone who contributed to making my day special (FB, twitter, sms, telephone messages) - been a rocking 25th birthday!

The ad welcomes the reader with a first person view of the luxurious dashboard, easy to picture yourself sitting comfortably in the AMG cockpit, then asking the question, "what does 400 kw of power feel like?". Go to a URL on your mobile, place your device over the rear view mirror and a short clip shows you accelerating away from a driver behind you. Integrating mobile video and print media to perfection!
